Powerlifting

Powerlifting is a strength sport consisting of performance in the squat, bench, and deadlift. In a competition setting, the athlete is allowed 3 attempts at each lift, hoping to achieve the greatest sum, or “Total”, of the best attempts at each lift.

I coach my powerlifting athletes with emphasis on well-rounded strength without relying solely on a barbell to get there. By diversifying training across multiple formats and implements, we can reduce the risk of injury and increase overall athletic ability. Successful powerlifting is a product of smart programming, diligent recovery habits, and a thorough understanding of exercise intent.
